Cicada Floral Racerback Crop

There’s nothing quite like the roar of cicadas (something between the sound of a band saw and a returning wave) and experiencing it is a truly unforgettable experience. Cicada emergences are cacophonous and leave behind a steady crunch beneath the foot as our winged friends complete their lengthy life cycles. 

Living in a place with only periodical cicadas, perhaps it’s a case of absence making the heart grow fonder… but I look forward to those summers where I know a brood will surface once more. This crop is the perfect place to celebrate our favorite winged visitor and the sweet art nouveau style floral framing adds a unique feminine twist to a design that’s a little bit edgy.
